Save Our Wild Legacy
The Sierra Club was instrumental in a federal court decision to halt a pro-logging plan in California’s Sierra Nevada range. The defeated plan called for a five-fold increase in logging in the Giant Sequoia National Monument, containing half the Giant Sequoias left in existence.
End Mountaintop Removal
Mountaintop Removal mining blows up mountains to extract the underlying coal. The Sierra Club and its allies won a string of legal victories that halted numerous mountaintop removal mines throughout Appalachia.
Move Beyond Coal
This year the Sierra Club stopped its 100th coal plant, blocking the addition of 340 million tons of annual carbon dioxide emissions.
Solve Climate Change
The Sierra Club and its partners helped ensure the first significant raise in automobile fuel economy standards in 30 years.

Give to the Dallas Sierra Club
Like every other non-profit organization, the Dallas Sierra Club must fundraise to finance its activities. Every volunteer hour spent on fundraising is an hour that cannot be spent working with ICO kids, doing conservation advocacy, or leading outings. Help us be a more effective organization by supporting us financially, whether it's $5, $25 or more. There are two ways to contribute: (1) a tax-deductible contribution payable to the Sierra Club Foundation, which finances our educational work; or (2) a contribution payable to the Dallas Sierra Club to support our political activities, which are essential to our mission but which are not tax-deductible. Either way, 100% of your contribution will benefit the Dallas Sierra Club.
