What You can Do to Reduce Emissions
One of our members assembled this chart showing how effective various choices are in reducing per capita greenhouse gas emissions in the United States.
"I wanted to find out what it's actually going to take for people to reduce their emissions enough to meet climate mitigation goals, and how these different actions compare to each other. This is what I found (keep in mind that this finding only focuses on greenhouse gases and there are several other important environmental impacts this does not cover)."
Some of the choices are simple to make: switch light bulbs, turn off computer, buy 100% renewable electricity. Others may challenge you.
